A majority of people aged over 50 years in developing regions of the world live with impaired near-field eyesight, and 9 of 10 of those individuals do not have access to corrective eyewear, according to a new study involving eye tests for nearly 15,000 participants at 7 rural and urban sites in Asia, Africa, and North America.
